TOOLS

Edits affect the active layer. An active selection limits drawing to that area.

BPencil

Draw with the current color. Size: 1–32 px. Pixel-perfect is available at 1 px.

EEraser

Erase pixels to full transparency on the active layer.

GFill

Fill a connected area of exactly matching color and transparency on the active layer.

IEyedropper

Sample a visible color and return to Pencil.

VMove

Click visible artwork and drag to select and move the topmost eligible layer. An active pixel selection takes priority.

LLine

Drag from start to end, then release.

UShape

Draw a rectangle or ellipse, outlined or filled.

MSelection

Drag a rectangle to select an area.

Tool and canvas shortcuts apply when the canvas has focus. While editing a layer name, keys perform normal text editing. Choose a tool on the left to return to the canvas when necessary.

PROJECTS

⇧⌘H
Show Home

Keep your editable .jenchapixel project. A PNG does not retain separate layers.

Free: Export… Single Item. PNG-only lets you choose a filename. JSON adds both formats in a new export folder. No collection numbering or saved collection state.

Layers & project details

⌘-click adds/removes a layer; Shift-click selects a visible range; ⌘-Shift-click adds that range. Use Selected layers for batch actions. Merge needs at least two adjacent, visible, unlocked layers in one parent. Drawing and canvas movement still affect one active layer.

Project Details… Save ⌘S saves reusable export details. Project name does not rename the project file.

Quick Shades: choose a darker/lighter shade below HEX; Palette + keeps it in the project palette.

Collection Builder

Free, Pro and collection controls

Free: complete editing, saving, Single Item PNG + both optional JSON formats, collection setup and up to 100 temporary local preview items. Pro: permanent Create / Add / Resume / Extend, as many collections as you want, up to 10,000 items per collection.

  1. Preview Collection: configure the full target, roles and distribution, then inspect up to 100 temporary examples. No destination folder or exported files.
  2. Regenerate Preview: replace the temporary sample. Back to Settings: adjust the same setup while the configuration stays open. Closing removes the preview.
  3. Create Collection — Pro: open the Pro offer in Free. Purchase does not start production. After activation, choose a destination and deliberately click Create.

Pro workflows: Create = new collection; Add = one hand-picked item; Resume = finish the saved target; Extend = raise a completed collection to a new total. 50 100 adds 50. Resume and Extend are on the first Export screen; keep the whole collection folder.

Application menu: JENCHA Pixel Pro… · Restore Purchases · Manage Subscription…. Restore checks your Apple purchases; Manage opens Mac App Store subscriptions.

Single Item

One PNG. JSON is optional and adds two formats. No automatic numbering.

Add to Collection · Pro

Hand-pick the visible artwork. Numbering and duplicate checks are automatic. Distribution does not choose this item.

Create Collection · Pro

Start a new collection: choose size, roles, distribution (Balanced by default), output size and Destination folder. Combinations are an upper bound, not a guarantee of unique images.

Resume Collection · Pro

Finish interrupted generation to its saved target. Saved roles, distribution and percentages are retained. Select the whole existing collection folder.

Extend Collection · Pro

Increase a completed generated collection to a new total: 50 100 means 50 additional items. Existing files remain unchanged; existing items count toward the targets for the new total.

Distribution

Balanced = even mix, including Optional None. Random = chance across the full range. Weighted = per-group targets totalling 100%. 0% excludes a Weighted choice.

Optional None = no variant and no metadata trait in either JSON format. No empty layer is needed. These percentages are targets, not exact rarity guarantees.

Resume and Extend are on the first Export screen. Resume finishes the old target; Extend sets a new total. Curated-only collections use Add.

Cancel during the extension check leaves the collection unchanged. Cancel during generation keeps completed items and the saved target: continue with Export Resume Collection.

New collections: one PNG and two JSON files with the same basename, in Images/, Bitcoin Inscription Metadata/ and NFT Marketplace Metadata/. File: JENCHA Demo Collection-00001.png; visible name: JENCHA Demo Collection #1.

Keep the whole folder: manifest = whole collection; metadata JSON = one item; source = saved project. Resume/Extend keep the stored source and settings; older collections keep their original folders and naming.
